Help Prevent the Spread: Health Education & Empowerment Program

The MCDPH-Medical Reserve Corps Health Education and Empowerment Program goal is to educate and empower congregate care facilities’ non-medical staff on the basics of vaccination and layered prevention strategies. Empowering your staff with best practices of handwashing, mask wearing, and PPE donning & doffing, will help reduce infectious disease transmission within your facility.

Please call 602-372-3575 or email patti.oneil@maricopa.gov for any questions about this program, and to arrange for a pair of MCDPH-MRC healthcare educators to come to your facility and provide a 1-hour, basic transmission prevention seminar. Schedules will be at your convenience and customized to your needs.

This program does not include specific infection control advice. For any Infection Control (ICAR) guidance or questions, please email ADHS Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) & Antibiotic Resistance program at haiprogram@azdhs.gov
