Coordinated Social Service Events

Veterans’ StandDown events are 1 - 3 day events that bring together the State's homeless and at-risk military veterans, connecting them with services ranging from:
  • Clothing
  • Court Services and Legal Aide
  • Emergency Shelter
  • ID / Drivers License's
  • Meals
  • Mental Health Services
  • Showers and Haircuts
  • Transitional and Permanent Housing
  • VA HealthCare
  • Several Other Services and Resources
Veterans StandDown events are the result of an alliance of public sector and community-based organizations that come together to provide this annual event. A number of Maricopa County departments participate in the events.
